Eritrean Sports Federation in North America (ERSFNA)
The Eritrean Sports Federation in North America (ERSFNA), established in 1986, is an independent, free of political and religious affiliation, Virginia based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. ERSFNA’s mission is to promote and facilitate the development of amateur sports and cultural events within the Eritrean and Eritrean-American communities in North America through participation in athletic competition. The organization's vision is to provide an environment that nurtures Eritrean rich culture and heritage, based on the love of sports and friendly athletic competitions.
2014 Basketball Update
On behalf of ERSFNA, the basketball staff would like to welcome all basketball players and fans to the nation's capital, Washington, D.C. This year's tournament will start on Wednesday July 2nd and end on Saturday July 5th. All basketball teams are encouraged to register EARLY to save $50 USD on registration fee. The early registration deadline is March 31, 2014. For registration process and deadlines please refer to the basketball section of this website. Prior to the start of the tournament, the basketball committee will conduct a mandatory meeting for all players and coaches on July 1st at 7:30 pm.
2014 Men's Soccer Team Registration
ERSFNA's 29th Annual Eritrean Sports Festival will be held in the nation's capital, Washington, District of Columbia (D.C.). The tournament dates are June 29th to July 5th. Team registration is now officially open.
All interested Men's Premier Division teams must send their registration fee of $400 USD before March 31, 2014 in order to take advantage of early registration discount. Due to high interest from many teams here and abroad, Premier Division slots are limited; therefore, register your team early to secure a spot.
2014 Youth Soccer Team Registration
The 29th Annual Eritrean Sports Festival will be held in the nation's capital, Washington, Distric of Columbia. The youth tournament dates are Wednesday July 2nd to Saturday July 5th. Team registration is now officially open until May 1, 2014. All Teams are highly encouraged to register early as spaces may be limited.

Iranian cyclist Mirsamad Pourseyedigolakhour won the Tour de Langkawi, which concluded in Kuala Terengganu on Malaysia's east coast on Saturday.
The little-known Tabriz Petrochemical Team rider triumphed with a time of 35 hours 7 minutes and 16 seconds.
Just eight seconds behind him in the overall standings was Eritrea's Merhawi Kudus of MTN - Qhubeku followed by Colombia's Isaac Bolivar of UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling.Read more...

The Olympic stage is set for the world-class athletes to perform at their very best. The athletes and fans expect the athlete’s best during the Olympics. But without adequate training you cannot deliver, no matter how big the stage or the desire. As excited as I was to be on the Olympic team again, I didn’t train any different for this race than my other 26.2 races. The only difference is that it only comes every 4 years and the whole world is watching. But the distance is the same, and thus the preparation should be the same.Read more...
