2017 Basketball Registration Guideline

bb2ERSFNA has selected San Francisco, Califoria as the host city for the 32nd Annual Eritrean Sports Festival.  This document is to be used as a guide to properly register and enter your team into the 2017 ERSFNA's Annual Basketball Tournament. The 32nd Annual Eritrean Sports Festival will be held from July2nd through July 8th. The Basketball Tournament will be held starting Wednesday July 5th through Saturday July 8th.

All teams must submit their registration fee before the set deadlines. For speedy process teams are encourage to complete the online registration process on ERSFNA’s website. Also, Team leaders and managers are highly encouraged to take advantage of the early registration discount special to secure a spot in this year’s tournament. Teams will then have until May 1, 2016 to submit or make any changes to their team roster without incurring any penalty or additional fees. All teams must register successfully prior to the April 30th deadline.  The basketball tournament will be cancelled if the number of participants is less than six (6) teams.  In the event of the cancellation, a full refund will be issued to the registered teams. All interested teams are highly encouraged to register before the deadline. 


Registration will be open for the following three (3) divisions. Please keep in mind, ERSFNA reserves the right to adjust division alignments in the event one or more of the divisions cannot be accommodated due to limited participants.

  1. Girls Division - Open to girls between the ages of fourteen (14) and eighteen (18)
  2. Junior Varsity (JV) Division -Open to boys and girls between the ages of fourteen (14) and sixteen (16) years old. All JV teams must have adult representative (i.e. coach or manager).
  3. Varsity Division - Open to boys between the ages of sixteen (16) and above.

Option I - Online Registration

Online team registration (the preferred method) requires online payment through PayPal or major credit cards.  If you elect this option, please proceed with the following hyperlink:

Option II - Paper Registration

  • Make a Cashier's Check or Money Order payable to ERSFNA and mail your entry (registration) fee to ERSFNA, 183 Coventry RD Decatur,GA 30030.

Team Roster & Player Photographs

  1. Download pdf copy of the Basketball Tournament Team Roster Form (BTTR-Form). Complete the roster list fully, including team and payers full name and date of birth.
  2. Each player must sign a new liability wavier form each calendar year.  All signed forms must be submitted to ERSFNA prior to receiving player ID cards.
  3. Email your completed roster along with digital photograph of each player to ersfna@gmail.com per guidelines provided in the Team Registration Guideline document.

If applicable, all onsite registration will be handled through online registration only.  Registration fee must be submitted through the online payment system, no exceptions!
